BHP bets billions on Chile mines to face global copper crunch
BHP detailed to investors this week plans to spend $10.7 billion to $14.7 billion within about 10 years.
Mining and transport firm Grupo Mexico said on Friday it had started the gradual reduction of its mining operations to comply with government orders to suspend non-essential activities as part of efforts to halt the spread of coronavirus.
Grupo Mexico is the largest mining company in Mexico and the third largest copper producer in the world through its subsidiary ASARCO.
