Fiore Gold (TSXV: F) said its Pan Mine in Nevada continues to operate as there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 among employees or contractors on site.

The miner also said its offices in Toronto and Denver are virus-free as well. However, employees in both cities have been asked to work remotely for the foreseeable future.

“Contingency plans have been put in place at our operations, and we will continue to take direction from public health officials as well as state and federal agencies”

Tim Warman, Fiore CEO

“At our Pan Mine in Nevada we have taken a number of precautions to reduce the risk to our employees including banning all work-related travel, other than travel to and from the mine-site, banning visitors and non-essential consultants and contractors, isolating delivery drivers, reducing personal contact between onsite employees and contractors, and additional cleaning and sterilization measures,” Fiore said in a media statement.

“The company has also instituted a temporary increase in paid medical leave for our employees to ensure that they can remain home if they or family members are unwell.”
