Global gold production will peak at about 3,250 tonnes (105 million oz.) next year, according to CRU's Oliver Blagden.
South Africa’s Northam Platinum on Friday reported a three-fold increase in interim earnings, underpinned by higher metals prices and increased sales volumes.
Normalised headline earning per share (HEPS) for the six months ended on Dec. 31 jumped 241% to 369.6 cents, from 108.5 cents during the year-ago period.
HEPS is the main profit measure used in South Africa which strips out certain one-off items.
