Mexico’s proposed higher mining royalties could block nearly $7bn in investments
The Mexican government proposed raising mining royalties under the argument that metal prices have risen in recent years.
Skeena Resources continues to drill bonanza gold grades at its Eskay Creek project in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle. For the phase one program, two drills are testing the 21A, 21E and 22 zones.

Skeena is earning a 100% interest in the Eskay Creek property from Barrick Gold. The former mine on the property produced 3.3 million oz. of gold and 160 million oz. of silver while it was active in from 1995 until 2008, when it was placed under care and maintenance.
Skeena also owns the nearby former Snip gold mine.
