Mining’s old guard needs strong medicine
A new report details subpar investor returns in the mining industry over the last decade, particularly big cap diversified companies which have not adapted to new realities.
Online store specializing in products made of gold, The House of Solid Gold, has put up for sale a $1 million extreme mountain bike for those who like to ride in luxury.
The model, a 24k gold plated and a handcrafted bike, boasts 600 black diamonds and 500 golden sapphires.
Named “The Beverly Hills Edition,” it also has an alligator skin seat and other extravagant components. There will only be 13 of them made, each customized to the buyer’s needs.
If a million dollars seems to you a bit excessive for just a bike, here comes the good news — 90% of the proceeds will go to charity. If each one were sold for that much, it would mean something like $10 million in the hands of an NGO.

yeah a pure gold bike would just bend. It wouldn’t be much of a bike much less one you would wanna ride down a mountain.
