Las Vegas, September 26th 2016 – Toyo Pumps North America, world leader in slurry pumping solutions, chose MINExpo 2016 for the worldwide launch event of a new, revolutionary product that promises to have a significant impact on the mining industry: the HNS series of submersible pumps. Featuring a revolutionary built-in pressurization system, solving the industry’s most frequent problem and cause of downtime and failure in submersible pumps, the HNS series has already been tried and tested by various key players in the mining industry. Alongside that product launch, the 100% Canadian owned company announced that it will be adopting a new name, closely linked to the heritage behind the foundation of Toyo Pumps N.A., yet focused on innovation and industry: Hevvy Pumps.
The HNS Series – When the relationships with clients becomes the vector of innovation
With the introduction of the HNS heavy-duty modular submersible pump series, Hevvy Pumps is redefining the submersible pump market by answering one of the most frequent causes of failure in the submersible pump world: mechanical seal failure. Available in 10HP to 1000HP, all HNS products offer the only fully integrated pressurized sealing solution on the market: Plenum54, developed in-house to respond to the mining industry’s demanding needs. “What started out as simple data gathering on our field visits became so much more”, says Justin Van de Velde, President of Hevvy Pumps. “As a company, we have always been proud of the special relation that we were able to develop with our clients. Being able to invent a product that will significantly change the way pumping is done and directly benefit our customers, now that is an immense source of pride” adds Mr. Van de Velde.
Thanks to the combination of its patented positive pressure technology and tailored Hevvy Slurry Seals, the HNS submersible pumps last longer and can pump more aggressive slurries than any other submersible pump. “Our engineering teams in Vancouver, B.C. and Denver, Colorado developed a submersible pump capable of generating positive pressure in the seal chamber to extend mechanical seal life far beyond the current industry standards. Our team took our products, known for their performance and reliability, and turned them into something we are very proud of, something that will redefine what reliability means in slurry pumping. That’s exciting” says Nicholas Guenther, Director of Engineering.
The HNS offers unparalleled flexibility with modular selection of the pump wet-end, seal, motor, and accessories to best fit each application.
