BRISBANE, Australia (May 2, 2013) – RungePincockMinarco (RPM) has expanded its well-known TALPAC brand of equipment productivity simulators with a new offering for underground coal miners.
The new product, Underground Coal TALPAC is a longwall productivity simulator. It simulates the activity at a longwall face, making it quick and easy to assess different options before making expensive purchases or embarking on complex operations.
RPM’s Product Manager – Mine Planning, Alun Philips said, “The TALPAC brand name is trusted across the entire industry as the name to turn to for equipment productivity simulation and schedule validation.”
“We’re pleased to extend the suite to underground coal miners through the launch of Underground Coal TALPAC for the productivity simulation of their longwalls.
“The software’s systematic and visual approach identifies and develops functional alternatives and pin points real savings or improvements in productivity for your longwall.
“Underground Coal TALPAC’s ability to accurately forecast future coal production will reduce operational risk and uncertainty and improve a project’s outlook,” Mr. Philips concluded.
The TALPAC family of equipment productivity simulators now includes TALPAC, HAULNET and Underground Coal TALPAC. Underground Coal TALPAC is now available for technical demonstrations.
