Ivanhoe’s Kipushi zinc mine in the DRC officially reopens
The restart marked exactly a century since the mine first went into production.
Tar sands, bituminous sands or just plain oil sands.
These naturally occurring mixtures of sand, water and petroleum are found in many countries but have shown up in massive quantities in Canada.
According to a recent report from the Conference Board of Canada, Alberta’s oil sands will positively affect all Canadian provinces and will lead to billions of dollars of jobs and investment across the country.
