Arafura Rare Earths gets $124 million in funding from Australia
The investment is intended to assist the company develop the facility at the Nolans project site in Australia’s Northern Territory.
A fire broke out at Fortescue Metal Group’s Cloudbreak iron ore mine processing facility on Saturday.
Fortescue told Australia Mining that the fire was contained promptly by an emergency response team and there were no injuries. The company says the incident will not affect production.
Cloudbreak is an open pit iron ore mine located in Australia, 110km NE of Newman. The mine processes 40 million tonnes per annum (mtpa).
